I consider the therapeutic connection between therapist and client a primary indicator of positive outcomes in therapy. I prioritize culturally responsive care that facilitates a strong and supportive therapeutic alliance.

In the therapeutic space, clients can expect our sessions to be collaborative, interactive, affirming, and non-judgmental. I bring a refreshing authenticity and personable vibe to each session, cultivating a space where clients can gain clarity, insight, and practical solutions. I am direct and provide a safe and supportive environment where I will offer compassionate nudges to explore your complete inner self and challenge unhelpful and inhibiting thought patterns and core beliefs.

In my clinical work with clients, I primarily use psychodynamic, cognitive, and existential-humanistic approaches rooted in feminist, ecological, systems, and anti-racist frameworks. Using evidence-based practices including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), I tailor my therapeutic approach to meet the needs, personalities, and preferences of my clients.

I am working towards perinatal mental health certification to support birthing people facing mental health challenges during pregnancy and after childbirth. Additionally, I am currently pursuing training in Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO DBT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS).

My areas of specialty include:

  • Women’s issues
  • Maternal Mental Health
  • Parenting support
  • BIPOC mental health
  • Personal identity
  • Body image and self-acceptance
  • Perfectionism
  • Life-transitions
  • Depression
  • Stress
  • Anxiety
  • Trauma

I assist my clients in the exploration of their multiple intersecting identities, digging into how our identities impact our lived experiences. I hope to promote healing through honest discussions of the implications of societal power, privilege, and oppression and the resulting experiences of discrimination, marginalization, and/or trauma.

Whether you are an over-controlled perfectionist, having difficulty maintaining healthy relationships, trying to cope with the pain of trauma, or struggling with shame and negative perceptions of self, I will partner with you to develop coping strategies, strengthen your sense of self, and promote positive changes in your life.

I am LGBTQIA+ allied and affirming and welcome clients from all racial, cultural, ethnic, religious and spiritual backgrounds.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, exercising, reading, playing with my mini schnauzer, and watching mysteries on TV.
